I have always been a sporty girl. When I was a little girl, I started swimming and playing tennis. After a couple of years these hobbies turned into competition sports. You could find me at practice or training sessions almost every day. I’ve also tried out other sports like Karate, Judo and dancing. But due to lack of time and being more interested in swimming, I stopped playing those sports.
Although swimming was my favorite sport and I could have become a very successful swimmer, I did quit at the age of 17. At that time, I was demotivated and other things ‘seemed to be’ more important. Years went by in which I only played a bit of tennis and I gave tennis lessons to both children and adults. Until I discovered the gym in the summer of 2013. I then realized what I had been missing all these years. I quickly became a cardio enthusiast and 2,5 year later I started strength training. And there I was again, training for a healthy and strong body with the same amazing feeling that I got from swimming. Headphones in, world out: 100% focus. True happiness! From the beginning the products of Performance Sports Nutrition supported me to reach my goals.
Now you can find me at least 6 days a week in the gym and I still try to combine my workouts with a bit of tennis, obstacle running and other cardio-like activities. In the meantime I also started my own company ‘Shari Vhklm’ as a personal ∧ online health coach and blogger. I give advice on how to live a better, fitter and healthier life. Working towards a better body, a fresher mind and greater well-being.
